HYDROCARBON REMEDIATION

The Refine Energy Service, Inc hydrocarbon remediation solution utilizes multiple strains of the pseudomonas microbe, customized biodegradable surfactant, and site-specific nutrients. The solution is always DNA tested before deployment to ensure safety, purity, and EPA NCP compliance.

This solution works as follows:

1. The biodegradable surfactant releases hydrocarbon contaminants from the soil, allowing the microbial system optimum access to the hydrocarbon contaminants.
2. The site-specific nutrients allow the microbial system to establish a robust cell mass, with extremely high plate counts, while hydrocarbon contaminants are released from the soil.
3. Over the next weeks, the microbial system quickly breaks down the hydrocarbon contaminants into water and carbon dioxide.

CHLORIDE REMEDIATION

The Refine Energy Service, Inc chloride remediation system is based on a proprietary hybrid humate/microbial biosequestration solution. The solution is pharmaceutical grade (99.5 percent purity), yielding highly consistent performance. The product works by providing an organic substructure with an extremely high ion exchange capacity that the Na++ and Cl– ions can bind and be charged neutralized (via an ionic bond). Specialized enzymes and microbes provide the platform for the binding process to be completed to the organic substructure.

The solution works as follows:

1. The humate forms a loose chelation bond with the chlorides in the soil, and then close around it.
2. Site Sampling and Inspections
3. The microbes modify the humate in their closed state, which creates a permanent sequestration of the captured chlorides.
4. Once locked inside the humate, the chloride is no longer bio-available and cannot be released by natural processes.

In Situ Application Methods

Refine Energy Services, Inc uses in-situ processes to treat hydrocarbons and chlorides in soil. While each site is different, these applications generally involve a combination of surface tilling with gridded-and-drilled borings. The surface tilling addresses contaminants at depths up to 18 inches deep, while the gridded-and-drilled borings address all contaminants to the appropriate depth of the plume. Both the tilling and drilling processes are designed to efficiently deliver remediation solution evenly into the contaminated soil. Our in-situ remediation processes quickly and consistently deliver desired results, while providing unsurpassed cost savings to our clients.
